The Test Preeclampsia it is a blood tests are not invasive that allows you to assess the risk of pre-eclampsia throughout the pregnancy.
This is a test that measures the ratio sFlt-1/PlGF, the connection between the two proteins produced by the placenta, from the week 20 of gestation.
This ratio helps to predict the onset of pre-eclampsia early (weeks 20-33 +6) and pre-eclampsia, late (from week 34).
Their results guide the medical team to identify risk pregnancies, to prevent complications and to improve the control of the maternal health and fetal.

The Test Preeclampsia it measures the blood levels of two key proteins produced by the placenta:
● sFlt-1 (soluble form of tyrosine kinase 1): your concentration increases when there is dysfunction of placental or alteration in the development of the blood vessels.
● PlGF (placental growth factor): its levels decrease when the placenta is not working properly.
The ratio sFlt-1/PlGF reflects the balance between the two markers.
A value altered can be detected weeks before the clinical symptoms, allowing to act in advance and reduce the risk of serious complications.

● Antiphospholipid syndrome
● Chronic kidney disease.
● Pre-eclampsia in a previous pregnancy.

● First pregnancy (nulliparity).
● Chronic hypertension.
● Diabetes mellitus.
● Multiple pregnancies.
● Family history of cardiovascular disease.
