The Cortisol Test is a blood test measures the main stress hormone produced by the adrenal glands.
The concentration of cortisol varies throughout the day and reaches its peak in the morning, so that the sample must be drawn around the 9:00 pm to ensure an accurate assessment.
It also includes the C-Reactive protein (CRP), a marker of systemic inflammation, which helps to identify inflammatory processes, or physical overload that may alter the performance and recovery.
